The idea for a Couple’s Session almost always arises when a couple decides to take the step toward marriage. Whether engaged or just dating, we’re here to talk about the importance of a couple’s photoshoot.
Having photos together is important—but having spontaneous, natural photos is absolutely amazing!
The phrase “Finally, we have decent photos together!” is something we hear in almost every session. The smartphone generation has, in a way, diminished the power of a photograph or a video. We’ve grown accustomed to selfies and posed shots instead of appreciating spontaneous photography from the perspective of someone observing us. The instant snapshot takes priority, and video often becomes something trivial.
Having visible memories together is truly important, because through them you’ll remember your other half, relive unforgettable moments, and feel again the butterflies and nervous excitement from the beginning of your relationship.
Spontaneous photos are the ones we value the most, because we capture your genuine smiles and expressions rather than forced ones!
Preparation for the Wedding Photos
The pre-wedding session is the perfect time to get comfortable in front of the cameras. You may feel a little shy at first and be unsure how to pose, but as the session goes on, everything flows naturally. The photographer/videographer will guide you through any awkwardness while also gauging how at ease you are in front of the camera.
If the couple session is done with the same team that will cover your wedding, it can be a great help and practice, as on the big day you’ll face the professionals much more naturally.
Intimate moment between the couple
Approach the session as a special moment, rather than something rigid or obligatory because the photographer included it in the package you chose. Enjoy the session, take the time to be affectionate, and show your love for each other. Create a happy moment that you’ll later remember, in the form of photos, video, or both.
KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
After hiring the wedding photography and videography service, the pre-wedding (couple) session can be a chance to spend time with your photographer, get to know them better, and build some rapport. This way, on your wedding day, they won’t just be a stranger with a camera.
TIPS
Decorate the walls of your home with memories from your life—not only will this personalize your space, but it will also inspire you in your daily life. When we revisit a happy moment, that wave of nostalgia works wonders! At your wedding, use some images from your session as part of the décor.
COUPLE’S SESSION IN Sintra- Susana & Hugo
We went to Sintra at Ursa’s Beach with Susana and Hugo and captured memories of them as a couple. At that time, they weren’t engaged yet, and it was just a symbolic session for them.
They always said that when they got married, we would be there to capture their wedding too! They’re now engaged, and we’re eagerly awaiting their pre-wedding session. We must confess—we can’t wait for their big day!
